Grass cut tall
Grass cut short
Grass cut neat
Some have nine toe feet.

Some like it tall
Some like it short
Some like it neat
Keep both of your feet.

Cut-a-grass, Cut-a-grass
By Richard Mudrinich

Cut-a-grass, cut-a-grass, grass cut man.
Grass cut my yard as fast as you can.
Cut it and trim it and mark it RRGCM.
And come back in a few weeks to do it again.

Yard Safetyland

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) proposes the concept of the Yard Safetyland (sm). Rescue Rick (sm) envisions that communities all over the world will establish these Yard Safetyland (sm) centers that depict a typical yard and showcase various yard hazards, including tips on following accepted best safety practices. The Yard Safetyland (sm) provides a venue where individuals and families can learn how to live and work in their yard in a safe manner. Also, Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) proposes periodic safety lessons and demonstrations provided by certified yard safety experts. Rescue Rick (sm) cut off his big toe, but he still has a big heart. Rescue Rick (sm) wants everyone to be safe and have safe fun in the yard. Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) believes in the benefits of Yard Safetyland (tm). Rescue Rick (sm) wants to collaborate with various organizations to give birth to the concept of Yard Safetyland (tm) and to work toward finding a cure for yard accidents (tm). MLK Day

It is Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Dr. King was a promoter of non-violent social change. Like Dr. King, I believe in servant leadership; I have a dream also. In particular, I want to rescue people from experiencing yard accidents. Yard accidents do not discriminate. They happen to all people regardless of their race, color, religion, creed, or national origin. Each year, there are 100,000 lawn mower accidents and 400,000 outdoor garden-tool-related accidents. It is time for some more behavioral and social change. Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) wants to make a contribution toward the elimination of yard accidents. Think before you cut. It hurts. (tm)

Yard Safety Foundation

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man: Yard Safety Foundation

GREAT FALLS, Virginia (PRWEB) January 7, 2006 -- Richard Mudrinich, Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man™, seeks to establish the Yard Safety Foundation (sm). Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man™ is a caped crusader and yard safety super hero working tirelessly to prevent lawn mower accidents and to promote yard safety. “I am the first yard safety super hero in the history of the world. I want to rescue people and animals from getting hurt from a yard accident. I seek to raise funds in order to establish the Yard Safety Foundation (sm). I want to find a cure for accidents through research and to create awareness through education and entertainment, especially after chopping-off part of my left foot with a walk-behind power lawn mower while cutting the grass. I seek to develop strategic partnerships and sponsors,” shares Rescue Rick.

Rescue Rick™ is a renaissance yardman, utilizing various art forms to communicate his safety message. “I want to educate and entertain the general public regarding the importance of yard safety. Lawn mower accidents happen in a split-second, often resulting in life-altering outcomes that sometimes include amputation. I learned this from first-hand experience when I amputated part of my left foot while cutting the grass,” shares Rescue Rick. “Wear a Rescue Rick T-shirt™ to pass along the yard safety message so that people and animals do not get hurt. Rescue Rick is here today so that yard accidents go away.”

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man™ wants to create awareness regarding the frequency and severity of lawn mower accidents and to promote preventive measures to rescue individuals and families from the dreaded experience associated with yard accidents. Each year, there are about 100,000 lawn mower accidents. Furthermore, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) reports that hospital emergency rooms treat more than 400,000 outdoor garden-tool-related accidents each year. Estimates from past statistics indicate that yardwork accidents fatally injure more than 3,000 people. According to Rescue Rick, "Think before you cut. It hurts. I encourage you to heed the outdoor power equipment safety precautions and to promote grass cut safety!"

National Yard Safety Trail

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man wants to promote yard safety awareness and prevent outdoor power equipment related accidents and fatalities. Rescue Rick wants to collaborate with various organizations to enhance yard safety. Rescue Rick strives to find a cure for yard accidents.

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man plans to ride a lawn mower across America as part of a national yard safety rollout campaign, thus establishing the National Yard Safety Grass Cut Trail (tm). He wants to create awareness with regards to the frequency and severity of lawn mower accidents. Therefore, Rescue Rick wants to charter a course and grass cut a trail through towns and alongside highways across America from Coast-to-Coast during Spring 2006 with several demonstrations on the ferocious capabilities of lawn mowers as well as presentations on lawn mower safety to prevent lawn mower accidents. Rescue Rick realizes that lawn mower manufacturers have made great strides to enhance the safe use of their various outdoor power equipment. Nonetheless, there are still about 100,000 lawn mower and 400,000 garden-tool-related accidents each year. Rescue Rick strives to find a solution.

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man is the first yard safety super hero in the history of the world. Rescue Rick seeks to collaborate with various organizations to educate and participate during this grand expedition. I want to develop some relationships with various organizations including, government, government agencies, industry, and non-profit organizations to literally roll across America promoting grass cut safety. I want to showcase leading experts involved with yard safety, healthcare professionals, and fellow amputees at events staged along the grass cut trail. In addition, I welcome the opportunity to work with various individuals, corporations, and non-profit groups to help with the planning and delivery of this expeditious journey. Furthermore, I recognize the importance to educate people of all ages. I view schools, youth groups, civic clubs, and senior centers as a natural forum to communicate the yard safety message. In particular, I recognize that children and teenagers should learn more about grass cut safety before they come of age to cut the grass. Also, I welcome the professional lawn service and related products community to get involved.

Also, I need mass media to reach as many people as possible to communicate the yard safety message. Therefore, I would like to make a Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man film documentary about this unique expedition to share with the public. Actually, it is time for the yard safety reality television show - adventures of a yard safety crew and its campaign rolling across America - Letterman to Leno! I envision a comedy mixed with the serious message of yard safety, including some neat and interesting cameo appearances. Therefore, I strive to promote yard safety and rescue millions of people from an often times serious injury. Think Big. Dream BIGGER.

Yard Safety Gear

Rescue Rick Designs First-Of-Its-Kind Yard Safety Footwear

Great Falls, VA (PRWEB) December 16, 2005 -- Richard Mudrinich, Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man, has conceived and designed the first-of-its-kind yard safety footwear and gear, including the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Yard Safety Footwear™. "I am the first yard safety super hero in the history of the world. Furthermore, I am the first person in the world to conceive and design grass cut safety footwear specifically targeted for the lawn mowing experience. I conceived these ideas, especially the grass cut footwear, after chopping-off part of my left foot with a walk-behind power push lawn mower while cutting the grass,” shares Rescue Rick.

“While in the hospital recovering from several surgeries as a result of my severe lawn mower accident, I made a life-commitment (divine inspiration) to yard safety awareness. In the hospital bed, I conceived the concept of the first-of-its-kind grass cut safety footwear and gear in order to prevent yard accidents from happening to other people and animals. Since I cut-off part of my left foot, I focused initially on designing and developing the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Yard Safety Footwear™. My focus then expanded to design Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Yard Safety Gear™ to protect other parts of the body,” shares Rescue Rick.

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man is a caped crusader and yard safety super hero working tirelessly to prevent lawn mower accidents and to promote yard safety. Yard Safety Day

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man chopped-off his big toe with a walk-behind powered push lawn mower on September 21, 2003. As a tribute to the birthday of the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man yard safety awareness advocacy, Rescue Rick has designated September 21st of each year as Global Yard Safety Awareness Day. Rescue Rick seeks to collaborate with various professional sports organizations, civic groups, corporations, and governments to promote special events around the concept of yard safety awareness day. Furthermore, Rescue Rick encourages people all over the world to educate, practice, and share yard safety awareness.

Courage Award

The Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Courage Award (tm) was established in 2005 to recognize the contributions of an amputee who has demonstrated courage that has made a lasting impact. The award was established in honor of my Aunt Rosiland Mudrinich, who died on Christmas Day 2005. Aunt Roz underwent the amputation of her left leg four inches below the knee in mid-December 2005 despite a history of heart ailments. Aunt Roz was a glamorous person. Also, she reminded me of the importance of the phrase Carpe Diem (Seize the Day). While she was in the medical clinic recovering from surgery and starting rehabilitation, I received a phone call from my relatives asking me to give my aunt an uplifting phone call. I proscrastinated with the intention of giving her a call a few days later. She died before these "few days later" ever happened. Aunt Roz reinforced the importance of living in today. She was very courageous and made a lasting impact on many people. Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man learned the importance of promptly taking action.

In addition, I give special mention to my Bubba Victoria Mudrinich and my Grandad Homer Snyder who demonstrated significant courage with respect to their leg amputation experiences.

If you want to nominate a candidate for the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man Courage Award (tm), please send an email to rtmudrinich@msn.com to the attention of Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man.
