Dedication to My Mom
(I posted this blog entry on July 27, 2005. I repost it today in honor and memory of my mom Helen Viola Mudrinich who died on July 18, 2017, nine years ago.)
Recently, my mom was diagnosed with cancer of the uterus. I want to dedicate the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) yard safety awareness campaign to my mother Helen Viola Mudrinich for rescuing me many times over the years. I am more determined and driven than ever before in my entire life to elevate the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) to the national-level. It is needed to create awareness regarding the frequency and severity of outdoor power equipment accidents. It is a very serious issue. My mom has a great positive attitude; it is apparent that positive thoughts can drive positive results. I am confident that my mom will recover cancer-free. I really believe that GOD will heal her.
Likewise, I must drive positive change with regards to preventing lawn mower and yard-tool related accidents. Once again, my mom will lead by example. She will provide the inspiration behind taking the Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man (sm) campaign to the national-stage. My dream is for my mom to visit President George W. Bush with me. Also, it would be great if Lance Armstrong - "Mr. Cancer Survivor" - could come along as well. I will even wear my yellow Rescue Rick T-Shirt (tm) as a tribute his amazing super-human fetes. In many ways, Lance is another super hero. My mom wants to meet Lance Armstrong as well. Please say a prayer for my mom - Helen Mudrinich, mother of Rescue Rick theGrass Cut Man (sm). My mom has woven the fabric of Rescue Rick (sm). I want to blanket the world with yard safety. Think before you cut. It hurts. (tm)

I am grateful for my mom. My mom influenced Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man. She had a long history of reaching out to help other people. She seemed to always put other people before herself in a Christ-like fashion. Also, my mom really cared for Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man. She really helped me immediately after my lawn mower accident. It was a very difficult and challenging time for several reasons. My mom took care of me. Likewise, I have inherited a will to rescue people from having a yard accident. If not for my mom, the many yard safety innovations that Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man has introduced to the world would have never happened. My mom died in 2017, and she would be so sad that I have not had the resources to advance any of my ideas. Instead, other people and institutions have built businesses and advanced their organizations off of my inspirations and experiences. It is sad that there was nobody who cared enough about me to help me fulfill my desires.
It was a long challenging supportive journey. The biggest compliment that we received was that my mom was literally 1 in a million patient who survived that long. I was a dedicated son who sacrificed his life to get her life. It impacted my career, my finances, my personal life, etc. It has been an extremely challenging aftermath.
It would be an amazing sign of grace if something huge could happen for me! In Jesus name, Amen.
