There can be tragic consequences when operating outdoor power equipment, especially with children in the yard - be careful and think yard safety! These accidents are frequent. Children should be taught to never play with the lawn mower. Children should be in the house when outdoor power equipment is in operation. Children should not be given a ride on a riding lawn mower.

Rescue Rick the Grass Cut Man has witnessed several people giving children a ride on a riding lawn mower. I have stopped my car and approached operators of the riding mower to rescue the children from experiencing a severe yard accident. The riding lawn mower is not an amusement ride. It is an outdoor power equipment yard tool. In addition, it is amazing the number of people that I meet who take great risk in operating outdoor power equipment in violation of owner manual recommendations and industry best practices.
